Day to day program:12 days / 11 nights.
1st day: Cape Town (ca. 100km)
After your arrival at Cape Town Int. Airport, you meet our local representative who will explain you the details. You have the rest of the day to acclimatize and explore Cape Town.
You can choose to upgrade to FTTSA accredited Daddy Long Legs Hotel; this gives you the opportunity to absorb the creative spirit of Cape Town in vibey Longstreet.
Luxury tour: overnight at Cape Grace Hotel at the V&A Waterfront. FTTSA certified based on the hotel’s exceptional employment practises, supply chain management strategies and strong focus on staff welfare.
2nd day: Cape Town area
Today you have time to visit one of the highlights of the Mother City and one of the social or community projects of your interest. You can drive to the Cape Peninsula & Cape Point. Stopover and visit the Jikeleza Dance Project in the little harbour place Hout Bay. Optional you can book a guided Townshiptour in nearby suburb Kayelitsha, visit the Philani weaver’s project and overnight with the locals in a B&B in Kayelitsha.
3rd day: Cape Town & Rondevlei:
The morning you have at leisure. In the afternoon you go into the Rondevlei Nature reserve with FTTSA-certified Imvubu Nature trails and participate on a 2 hour guided walking trail; learn about the medicinal and cultural value of local plants.
4th day: Cape Town- Prince Albert (ca. 440 km)
Today, for a glimpse of South Africa’s Victorian past, you drive to the village Matjiesfontein, on the slopes of Swartberg Mountains. Continue and drive to Prince Albert, where you overnight.
5thday: Prince Albert – De Rust (ca. 90 km)
Today you continue your way. Drive via the impressive Swartberg Pass to Oudtshoorn; the Ostrich City. Here you can see, drive and even taste Ostriches and their eggs. Visit an Ostrich farm and the nearby UCC Rodewal Primary School. Continue your trip to de Rust, where you overnight in unique and historical ox wagons.
6thday: De Rust – Port Elizabeth /Nelson Mandela Bay(ca. 485 km)
Today you can explore the peaceful area of de Rust and visit one of the many projects. You can hire a traditional Donkey Cart and participate on a guided tour into the little village and surrounding mountain area. Continue to Port Elizabeth; currently renamed into Nelson Mandela Bay, where you overnight 2 nights. In the afternoon you join FTTSA-certified Calabash Tours on a guided Shebeen Tour; experience the diversity of townships and enjoy unbeatable African hospitality when relaxing at a Shebeen for drinks and dinner.
7thday: Today you can visit the Addo Elephant National Park a little North of Port Elizabeth. This National Park has more over 420 elephants, 450 Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.
8thday: Port Elizabeth/Nelson Mandela Bay- Knysna (ca. 340 km)
Drive via the garden route to Knysna, a small cosy town on the lagoon with a special holiday atmosphere, where you overnight 2 nights. You have time to explore Knysna’s forest and beautiful beaches.
Luxury tour: Overnight at FTTSA accredited Hog-Hollow country lodge; set on the edge of an indigenous forest in a private nature reserve with panoramic views of the surrounding indigenous forests, valleys and mountains.
9thday: Today you can visit Tsisikamma National park and its famous hanging bridge. The adventurous can join FTTSA accredited Stormsriver Adventures; a professional adventure and activity company based in the heart of the Tsitsikamma Forest, on exclusive hiking trials and excursions into Tsitsikamma National Park.
10th day: Knysna– Stellenbosch (ca. 425 km)
Today you continue in direction of the Cape and visit the small harbour town Mossel Bay. Optional you can participate in the Lovelyness Mpumlo’s non alcoholic shebeen; the only one in the country. You have a tour choice, overnight at Polani´s homestay, situated in the township near Mossel Bay or continue to Stellenbosch, where you overnight. Drive via Swellendam, visit the old townhouse and relax in the tea gardens or visit the Drostdy museum; one of the most beautiful and oldest museums in South Africa.

11th day: Today you can visit the wine area Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. You have time to visit the museums, shops and wineries in the wine-areas.You can have an enchanting Cape African experience at historic FTTSA accredited Spier in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands; a unique wine development in the world.
12th day: Stellenbosch – Cape Town (ca. 60 km)
Today you drive to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home or your next destination.
